Juneteenth Augusta welcomes credentialed media outlets, content creators, and community storytellers. Media passes provide designated access areas in alignment with festival policies.

The Juneteenth Augusta Celebration welcomes members of the media who are interested in covering this historic community event. Each year, thousands gather to celebrate freedom, culture, music, community service, and economic empowerment. Media coverage plays an important role in helping share the story of Juneteenth Augusta while highlighting the people, businesses, and organizations that help make this celebration possible. All media requests are reviewed by the Juneteenth Augusta team to ensure appropriate access, coordination, and coverage during the festival. Media Pass

A Juneteenth Augusta Media Pass provides approved members of the press and digital media with designated access to capture and share moments from the celebration, including performances, community activities, and festival highlights.

Media passes are intended for individuals and organizations producing editorial or cultural coverage, including:

  • Television and radio stations
  • Newspapers and magazines
  • Digital news outlets
  • Bloggers and podcast hosts
  • Social media influencers and content creators
  • Professional photographers and videographers
  • Documentary and media production teams

Media - Terms & Conditions

By accepting and using this pass, you agree to the following:

1. Access Limitations

  • This pass grants access only to designated media pit areas in front of performance
    stages.
  • Backstage, artist lounge, hospitality areas, and all-access zones are strictly off-limits.

2. Credential Display

  • Your media pass must be worn visible at all times while on festival grounds and
    especially within the media pit.
  • You must wear the official lanyard or badge holder provided by the festival.

3. Professional Conduct

  • All media must behave professionally and not obstruct performers, staff, or attendees.
  • No climbing on barricades, stages, or equipment.

4. Time Limits & Rotation

  • Media pit access may be time-limited during performances (e.g., first 3 songs). You must
    comply with rotation rules set by stage managers.

5. Recording & Live Streaming

  • Recording is allowed for post-production use only.
  • Live streaming from the media pit is prohibited unless explicitly approved in writing by
    festival organizers.
  • Audio recording may be restricted at the request of artists or event organizers.

6. Equipment Restrictions

  • Large equipment, tripods, monopods, drones, or lighting rigs are prohibited in the
    media pit unless approved in advance.

7. Respect Artist & Festival Rights

  • All photos/videos must respect copyright and artist likeness usage rights.
  • Festival reserves the right to restrict the use or distribution of any captured content
    that violates these guidelines.

8. Content Submission Requirement

  • All media pass holders must provide the festival organizers with access to selected
    photos and/or videos taken during the event upon request.
  • By accepting this pass, you grant the Juneteenth Augusta Festival non-exclusive rights
    to use shared content for promotional, archival, and marketing purposes (with credit
    when possible).
  • Media outlets may retain copyright ownership of their content, but the festival reserves
    the right to request highlights for official use.

9. Liability Disclaimer

  • Media assume all risks associated with operating in active performance areas.

10. Revocation of Access

  • Any breach of these terms may result in immediate revocation of your pass and
    removal from the grounds.
