Our volunteers are the backbone of Juneteenth Augusta. From logistics and hospitality to vendor coordination and guest services, each role supports a safe and impactful event experience.
Volunteers play a vital role in making the Juneteenth Augusta Celebration possible. Each year, dedicated community members give their time and energy to help ensure the festival and related activities run smoothly. From assisting with event setup and guest services to supporting festival operations throughout the day, volunteers help create a welcoming and positive experience for everyone who attends. Event Setup Crew
Crew for setting up the whole event.
Volunteer Admins
Responsible for administration operations.
Hospitality
Merchandise Table, Gate Entry, Food Servers, Water Stands.
Kid Zone
Supervision, Petting Zoo, Cool Station.

Juneteenth Augusta Festival – Volunteer Meeting Schedule
Festival Date: Friday, June 19, 2026 All meeting dates and times are subject to change based on festival needs.
Volunteer Meeting #1 – Orientation & Overview
Proposed Date: Tuesday, May 19, 2026 (4 weeks out)
Purpose:
- Welcome & introductions
- Festival mission, expectations, and volunteer culture
- Overview of volunteer roles & departments
- General policies (conduct, safety, communication)
- Q&A
Volunteer Meeting #2 – Role Assignments & Logistics
Proposed Date: Tuesday, June 2, 2026 (2½ weeks out)
Purpose:
- Confirm volunteer roles and shift assignments
- Review festival site layout and key locations
- Arrival times, parking, and volunteer check-in process
- Emergency procedures & chain of command
- Department-specific updates and discussion
Volunteer Meeting #3 – Final Briefing (Mandatory)
Proposed Date: Friday, June 12, 2026 (1 week before festival)
Purpose:
- Final schedule confirmations
- Festival-day flow and timelines
- Communication protocols (who to contact and when)
- Last-minute updates or operational changes
- Final Q&A before festival day
Additional Training – Eventeny iPad Check-In Team
Proposed Date: Tuesday, June 16, 2026 (Festival Week)
Required for:
- Volunteers assigned to registration, check-in, credentials, or access control using
Eventeny iPads.
Purpose:
- Hands-on Eventeny iPad training
- Check-in workflows and credential scanning
- Troubleshooting common issues
- Escalation procedures and support contacts
